RULES​

FESTIVAL

This will be our 7th annual CommUNITY Film Festival.  The VIRTUAL festival will take place on Sunday, April 25, 2021 starts at 2pm.  Selected entries will be shown on the big screen during the Screening Event.  Individuals will get to walk the red carpet.  The Screening event will also include viewing of submitted videos, and awards.
 

ENTRIES

We are looking for entries that highlight how YOU contribute to your community.  This might be your family, school, work, neighborhood, faith community or wherever you belong.  Create and submit your best (limit one) short video, maximum of 5 minutes, using a smart phone, camera, app, or other video device.    Work with friends and family to create art!
 

HOW TO PARTICIPATE

If you want to be part of this fun and challenging event, please send us an email of “intent” saying that you will be sending in a signed copy of the Application Form (below).  It’s free to enter your short film, so once you send your email, start making magic!  When your movie is ready, upload it to YouTube as public (look on the Helpful Hints page) and send us (lcomes@lucasdd.org) the link, or mail us a copy or your film on disk.  The deadline to submit your movie is March 31, 2021 at 5 PM. By then we must also have a signed Release Form (below) from every person involved in your movie, and a signed and completed Application Form.

HOW TO WIN

The committee will select the videos that best create community, promote inclusion and celebrate the everyday lives of people of all abilities.  These entries will be shown at the premier. The CommUNITY Film Fest Committee members will screen all entries and be sure they meet the Submission Rules as outlined below.  The Committee then forwards all accepted entries to the  Judges who will determine the award winners, which will be presented at the event.
